[Personal Information Handling Policy]

“Connectus,” the operating agency of the 2026 Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) International Symposium, has the following handling policy to protect users’ personal information and their rights and interests and manage grievances related to personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.

1. Purpose of handling personal information

A. Handling civil complaints: Personal information will be handled for the verification of the identity of the complainant, etc.

B. Providing goods or services: Personal information will be handled to deliver goods, provide services, enter the event venue, send bills, provide content, verify identity, etc.

- Collection method: Pre-registration, online and offline events, inquiries to the secretariat by phone or email

2. Handling and retention period of personal information

① “Connectus,” the operating agency of the 2026 HIRA International Symposium, handles and retains personal information during the personal information retention and use period in accordance with the law or within the personal information retention and use period agreed upon at the time of collection.

② Personal information will be retained and used for the above purpose from the date of consent. After the purpose of collecting and using personal information is fulfilled, the information will be destroyed without delay.
- Grounds for retention: Consent of the information subject
- Records on the handling of consumer complaints or disputes: One year
- Records on payment and supply of goods or services: Three years
- Records on contracts or withdrawal of subscription: Three years

3. Provision and consignment of personal information to third parties

A. “Connectus,” the operating agency of the 2026 HIRA International Symposium, uses users’ personal information within the scope notified in the section of “Collection, Use, and Purpose of Personal Information,” and, in principle, will not use it beyond the scope or provide it to third parties without prior consent.

B. To ensure that personal information is safely managed in accordance with relevant laws in the case of consignment contracts, compliance with personal information protection laws, confidentiality of personal information, prohibition of provision to third parties, liabilities in case of accidents, consignment period, and obligations to return or destroy personal information after termination of handling are regulated and managed.
